Had our heaviest snowfall of the year this morning. Going to be a lot of digging out. And I just want to salute the delivery people who keep going even in these bad conditions. There’s a fellow who delivers newspapers that I always wave to when I’m out walking in the morning around 4:30 am (I’m an early bird). He just has a tiny car and it was half buried in some of the roads he was going through today. That’s not an easy job and it doesn’t pay anything, so give these guys some credit. (You can click on the pics to make them bigger.)

Wow! Disruptive but beautiful, well done to the delivery chap!

It would be nice if he got some kind of bonus for driving in this weather, but I’m sure he didn’t.

Delivers newspapers?! I didn’t realize the northern border was a time warp. Better alert Jack Finney. Over on your side he’s probably still alive.

Ten years ago each of the major papers had their own delivery people. Now it’s just one guy who does all of them. And I think he does a lot of driving. Definitely a blast from the past.

It is 40 degrees here and the sun just came out.
You have my sympathies!

There are two guys who deliver papers to our local convenience and grocery stores. If we get a couple inches of snow, you can pretty much rule out any papers getting dropped off. And your dude delivers in THAT? I want to give him a hug…and a tip. (The weather update here is 32 degrees with sun…there were newspapers today!)

This delivery guy really is amazing. Especially if you saw his car. It’s just a tiny thing and the snow was up over his wheels! Definitely the kind of guy you want working for you, whatever your business is.
