Saw this vixen walking about pretty boldly in the early morning last week. She obviously got a scent of something because she crossed the street with her nose in the air, then sniffed around and crossed back. Probably a rabbit. She didn’t seem too concerned about me.

Little fellow
Bunny love
Was out walking one day last week and there was a woman taking this little guy’s picture. Then, the very next day, I was walking past the exact same spot, at the same time, and he was there again. I’m afraid he might not be the brightest bunny, especially as he let me get quite close to take his picture. If he doesn’t smarten up he won’t be long for this world! Leaving the cat house
Just an update to a previous post where I introduced Millie and Bonnie. They’ve gone back to their regular home. Their owner really wanted me to adopt them because she’s selling her house and moving in with a guy who is allergic to cats so she can’t keep them. But even though I like cats (though not as much as dogs) I don’t think they’d be a good fit with me. I’m sure they’ll find a nice forever home though.
Go to the ant . . .
Are lions always courageous? Bees any busier than other insects? I don’t know. But I do think ants deserve their reputation for industriousness. Whenever I see these little piles of dirt I know a lot of work has been getting done. Even in places where you don’t expect it, like this arcade outside a mall.

A visit to the cat house
So my neighbours are catsitting until their daughter’s house sells. I went over to visit their new boarders.
This is Millie. And I can’t say her name without calling her Millie Vanilli.
And this is Bonnie. Slightly shyer than Millie, and fatter because she eats Millie’s food.
All I’ve got for you today. But cat pictures are what built the Internet so . . .
Make way for goslings!
I’m not a great photographer. But even the average person sometimes gets lucky and a bit of magic happens. That’s what happened two days ago when I was downtown. I was going to the library and passed a pair of adult geese crossing a busy intersection with their flock of goslings. They had to cross it twice, first going west then south, and they actually started off at a crosswalk. But halfway through they just decided to go straight across as fast as they could.
Luckily people are used to geese doing that in this town so nobody was hurt. I don’t think a feather was ruffled. I started snapping pictures almost right away as soon as I saw them getting ready to go for it. Most of the pics were either blurry or poorly composed. But this one, right in the middle, came out perfectly. Looking back on it, I think I’ve only taken a handful of pictures my entire life that I like as much as this one. It’s a keeper!
