Yes, the annual book sale the library puts on is coming up at the end of the month. I’ve posted bookmarks for this event before, but this year I managed to find a couple of really old ones. If 2026 is the 18th sale then 2007 and 2008 must have been when it all got started. Back when they only advertised “hundreds of books.” There now must be tens of thousands. I’ll bet these bookmarks from twenty years ago are the only ones still in existence. This is what happens when you never throw anything out!

Hurray!
Now, the only thing is, isn’t this right after Fakesgiving? won’t all that food cramp your style?

I’m all ready in training, fasting.

But won’t that just shrink your stomach? You’ll be able to eat only one bite of turkey, potato and stuffing and nothing else.
Or is that your goal?

and don’t forget the eggnog!
I saw it in the stores already last week.

Haven’t seen any eggnog yet. But I don’t go anywhere near that stuff anyway!
Yes, the goal is to shrink the stomach. I’m actually trying to lose weight this month.

😀
Good luck. Are you fasting once a week or irregularly?

Just sticking to two meals a day and no snacks or desserts. I know how to lose weight, it’s just not a lot of fun.

How did you get this year’s bookmark before the event?

Oh the bookmarks are like flyers so they started giving them out at the libraries a few weeks ago.

Are you all excited now? And have you got the toilet situation under control?

Definitely starting to get hyped.
There are no facilities where they hold it, and it’s a long bus ride, but I think I can manage. I did the last two years. I wish they’d pick a location that was a little closer though.

Hopefully there’ll be some bushes round the back of the venue just in case. 😁

Unfortunately I think the bushes are all planted out front by the road.
