As noted in my previous post, this place won’t be ready to move into on September 1. I’ve heard they’re having to put the students who signed leases up at a nearby hotel.
This weekend they had the road out front dug up, leaving quite a hole. I took this picture from across the street, so the hole basically takes out the whole road. You have to take a detour as there’s no driving around it. The people who live on this street must be loving it.

The way that neighbourhood is laid out, it’s a big detour they have to go through to get home. Oh well!

City council is all about bending over backward to let developers do whatever they want. They’re doing everything they can to encourage this sort of building.

Overtime is nice though. Depending on the week, anywhere from 1-5hours. That adds up over the month. Allows me to pay our condo fees without dipping into our regular budget.

I don’t think it was a very smart business idea to build it in the first place, and I don’t like it there. So any cost overruns are fine by me!
