Hats off to the people living in this house, which I often walk by on my way to the bank. All of these flowers are planted outside their backyard fence, so they can be enjoyed by pedestrians. That just makes the world a nicer, brighter place. (You can click on the pic to make it bigger.)

Yep, I believe 45-50 is now the new beginning of middle age. IF you have an easy job where you biggest problem is which seat to sit in or which coworker in the next cubicle is the most annoying.

Hats off. They ought to have a donation box for all the extra trouble of having to keep them watered. Unless they’ve got an automatic system, what a pain having to haul the hose around outside the fence.

That’s a good point. I’ve never seen anyone out watering them. They might be able to do it through the fence. It’s been a wet summer though so they shouldn’t have had to do too much.

Wildfires all over. The grass has gone all brown and yellow, except the bits shaded most by trees etc. It’s kind of insane.
