It’s been a while since I’ve had a Binstagrammed post. Almost two years. But I was walking through the blissfully deserted university campus last week and saw all these troopers lined up behind the University Centre building and couldn’t resist taking their picture.
Then, right after I put my phone away, I was walking past and I heard thumping noises coming from inside a couple of them. It actually scared the heck out of me. It sounded like somebody was locked in there! Then squirrels came popping out. It’s not that the lids weren’t fastened, but several of the bins had holes chewed right through them. It’s amazing what animals will do to get to the good stuff. And green bins, for organic waste, definitely have the good stuff.

Thatβs a lot of organic waste. Did it pong?

Not a bit! Which I guess is a bit surprising. There must have been something in there though as the squirrels were after it.

Kill the squirrels. Kill ALL the squirrels. Then it’s the pigeons next!
Man, it’s nice to see a binstagramm post again. I’ll have to see if I can work one in this year π
I also saw you and Fraggle having a good conversation with Eddie on one of his reviews (Moanah live action I think?). Has he opened up his reviews or was that just one of those ones where he forget to close the comments?

Ah, kill the mosquitoes first. And the tics and a bunch of other bugs. Then we can worry about the others.
Today is garbage day! Fitting for a binstagram post. Apparently in England they have a bin guy running for parliament.
I think Eddie just forgets sometimes.

What do they do with all the bins in the snowy winter?

That area gets plowed pretty well. I’m sure in a bad storm there are issues but they manage.

I am not shocked some bins were compromised, and it reinforces our strategy to keep ours inside until trash/recycling day arrives. Then again, we have a good working relationship with our squirrels as we provide them shelled nuts on occasion.

A well-fed squirrel should be less bothersome!
