We got about 10 cm of snow yesterday, so the snow pile in the parking lot got a nice whitening. It’s not as big as it used to be, but it’s looking a lot cleaner.

I was telling someone about your snow mountain and how *it’s still there* and he, who’s like me in that he prefers the heat to the cold, was also horrified. : -)

On the one hand it’s funny they have to treat snow like garbage; on the other, it’s scary what that entails.
But it’s also interesting they blame it on the climate when it was humans who dumped all that salt into it.

Salt is incredibly damaging to cars, clothes, and the environment, but the replacements they’ve tried just haven’t worked out.

This is the winter of our discontent! (at having so much snow and how long it is sticking around)
We’re supposed to get a rain storm on Monday (they’ve already called it a rain day for work) that’ll melt most of ours away. I’m pretty happy with that.

We’re supposed to have rain Monday too. But March is unpredictable. Snow can blow in anytime.
