I had an earlier post about a shopping cart that I saw oddly placed on a shipping container one morning. In the discussion that followed I mentioned how my local library branch has little shopping carts for the kids to play with. I think they’re only a foot-and-a-half tall. I guess the idea is that the kids can fill them up with books, but I’m told they just like pushing them around. I think they’re adorable.

Last Christmas we got our niece a little Target shopping cart. She loves going with “Mommy” to Target and pushing her cart around. Makes her feel like she’s all grown up 😀
I imagine its the same principle for the library ones.

Helps that they can’t put too much in them to. Don’t want to encourage consumerism that much.

Yeah, that’s a big problem.
I thought I could help you out in that regards too. If you’re feeling too materialistic, you can always donate your proceeds from your bootleg maple syrup operations to The Church of Bookstooge. We’re a 501C charitable organization, so you can deduct it from your taxes!

But all the proceeds from my syrup pipeline go into a shell company registered in the Cayman Islands, where I already pay no taxes! It’s my way of keeping the material world at arm’s length.

My arms are longer than yours. So you’d be keeping it further from you if you gave it all to me.
Just trying to lend a helping hand 😉

Well seeing as the Church of Bookstooge charity does so much good work I’ll keep you in mind. Having so much myself, I don’t want anyone to be in need.

TCOB has done me a world of good! I wouldn’t be the man I am today without them 😉

I’ve seen some mini trolleys in our Morrisons supermarket now, I’ll have to try and get a photo of one as I think the ones I saw had a kind of flagpole on them.

Ha! Yes, flagpoles would be helpful. Avoid accidents!

A foot and a half high? That *would* be cute. Since you seem to have a thing for shopping carts, I’ll give you a fun fact you may already know but I only learned of about a year ago. It’s not all carts, but some of them have a little chain attached to the bottom. It seems so pointless. But the fact is, it drags. So it’s a ground, in case the cart gets hit by lightning. I’m happy to see that this mini-cart doesn’t have a chain. Kids don’t need to be pushing carts around in a thunderstorm.

That would indeed be tragic. But I don’t think the kids are allowed to take the carts out into the parking lot. They’re just for books!
