Saw these neat-looking virtual reality bubbles in the mall the other day. They’re the product of a company called Inscape out of Nova Scotia. I think they have race car and flight simulators. That sort of thing. The problem for me is that I’m so bad at videogames I don’t think it would be worth it. I used to always crash and burn in games like Turbo and Pole Position, which I suppose most readers of this blog will have never heard of but they were the big racing games at arcades back in the day. Things have come a long way!

Video games! How boring. You’d think they’d at least transport you to another planet.

They might have balls that do that too. I just saw the race car one. Maybe they have one where you just sit down and have a nice Italian dinner . . .

I bet it costs more than a quarter though!

Yeah I’m pretty sure it does. I think arcade games cost more than a quarter too! You’re thinking 1980s prices!

Bring back the 80’s!
actually, maybe not. I like my highspeed internet too much 😀

The 80s were good, at least in my opinion. And highspeed internet is a drug. I like it too, but I can’t shake the uncomfortable feeling that it’s been a net negative. Can’t go back on that one now though!

A net negative huh? I’d have to think about that, because I certainly don’t disagree right away.

I like the wind-up key. Nice touch.

Yeah I don’t know anything about the actual experience but they do look cool.

Years ago at an Indy Car race, they had a race similator there and I took a spin…or rather, it spun me. That was a wild ride and I needed to take a few minutes thereafter and get my equilibrium back. These do look cool.

I would have spun out at the first turn I imagine. I was always terrible at that sort of game. Though I did decently with Super Mario Kart.
