Just after posting on the fallen soldiers I went for my morning walk and came across this sorry sight. Toppled bins is one thing, but not if they’re out in the road. Luckily it was early and I was able to pull this comrade up onto the curb. Not good!

I have had the opportunity to save a bin or two in my day. Some of our development streets have tight turns, and coming around a blind corner to find a wayward bin in front of you would leave you no options but to take it on.

Anything that finds its way onto the road can be a real danger. Another reason to drive slow.
