I’m not a great photographer. But even the average person sometimes gets lucky and a bit of magic happens. That’s what happened two days ago when I was downtown. I was going to the library and passed a pair of adult geese crossing a busy intersection with their flock of goslings. They had to cross it twice, first going west then south, and they actually started off at a crosswalk. But halfway through they just decided to go straight across as fast as they could.
Luckily people are used to geese doing that in this town so nobody was hurt. I don’t think a feather was ruffled. I started snapping pictures almost right away as soon as I saw them getting ready to go for it. Most of the pics were either blurry or poorly composed. But this one, right in the middle, came out perfectly. Looking back on it, I think I’ve only taken a handful of pictures my entire life that I like as much as this one. It’s a keeper! Got it! Yep, it could be touched up. This was raw nature footage!

That’s a great picture. Are there parks or waterways they were going to/from?

Thanks!
Not right where they were. They were right downtown. But there’s a river not far away, and a lake to the north. I don’t know where they go at night.
