As I’ve had occasion to say before, it’s hard to take a good picture of a skunk. They’re usually only out during times of day when there isn’t much light, and they don’t like to stand around waiting while you get your phone out and take their picture. Last winter I took some pictures of one trying to climb a snow hill. This may be the same one, as it was near the same place.

Looking for some food? must be difficult in the snow.

Probably. We’ve lost a lot of snow so he should be able to find something. The main thing he has to worry about is not getting hit by a car.

I thought they hibernated for some reason.

From the Internetz:
Skunks are not true hibernators. They enter a state called torpor. This means they become less active but do not sleep deeply. Skunks may wake up on warm days. They venture out to explore and find food.

I’d settle for torpor myself, but I’d rather hibernate.
