He was an interesting character. This was actually a really good book. It has 9 Garfield stories, each told in a different way and with different styles of art. It’s nothing like the comic strip so I’m not sure how fans took it.
For some of us who can’t draw (me) it’s always fascinating how real artists can change their styles. It’s almost like they understand the underlying principles. But that can’t be it, that would be crazy. : -)
I liked the books that collected the comic strips. It was fun to see the big overarching stories slooooooowly unfold within one book.
But I wasn’t a big enough fan to watch the movies or anything. I will say it helped me learn to love lasagna though 😀
Oh I don’t think I saw either of the movies, or TV shows. I thought the comics were decent though. Worth singling out for reading in the funnies section. Do newspapers still have funnies sections? Probably not.
Hahaha love it!

I’m the outlier, then; never was a Garfield fan. Though I did like the way the dog was drawn. Such a happy puppy!

Yeah, it is impressive. I guess it’s like music. But I don’t know much about either field.

I don’t think papers have funnies anymore. Not sure WHAT papers even carry any more…

We get all those with the weekly grocery store adverts. Those things are like 10 pages long, every single week…
