So I was just looking online for a new winter coat. As some of you may remember, I had a bit of trouble with this a few years back. Anyway, I was browsing through the discount offerings at the Wal-Mart and came across this product description that I first thought might be AI slop. Then I decided AI couldn’t be this bad. No, somebody, somewhere figured that this was the best way to sell a coat.
I resisted adding this particular item to my cart, as impressed as I was that it was made of “materials” and was guaranteed to make me look not just handsome but more handsome. I don’t know if the world could handle that.

I don’t think I ever ordered another coat online. But I do check the sales out. I would try to buy one again if the price was right but prices for everything have gone way up in the last few years, for some reason . . .

For me, there are certain things I will not buy online. Boots and coats are some of them. I need to try them on to make sure. Hopefully, you actually get a coat this time and nobody steals it…

Boots I would never buy online. Too much variation in sizes. You have to make sure they fit properly no matter what size they say they are. Coats I don’t mind because they’re meant to be bulky and loose fitting so I’m good with a large or x-large. Makes no difference.

I like big and bulky because when it gets real cold I like to wear a lot of layers, and that means a big coat.

I bought my winter coat online and I regularly cite it as one of the best purchases of my life. It’s got materials out the wazoo. What bothers me about this ad — because it’s the most important thing — it says nothing about whether or not this “parka” keeps you warm. Instead, it’s the Fernando Lamas coat.

People don’t care if they’re warm as long as they look good! At least that’s the case for some people. I mean, who wouldn’t want to look like Fernando Lamas?
