This is a bookmark from the Suzhou Museum, which was designed by the architect I. M. Pei. I have friends from Suzhou and they’ve given me several bookmarks. I’d love to visit the place, home of the celebrated “Pants” building, but it’s a long way away and I hear it’s very hot.
Books: The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu

That really is a cool one. I saw the Netflix series of that book, it was good!

Does the bookmark clip on the page, or just stay loose with the chain going down the page?

I think it just sits in the book and the chain hangs outside. The chain is sort of like a ribbon. It’s too short to go in the book. I have a couple of Chinese bookmarks with them.

Oh, the chain is on the outside. I was wondering how one prevented the chain from chewing up the paper. Well, now I know.

At least that’s how I think it works. Must be how it works here so I’m assuming it’s the same.

Does that mean this bookmark was the best china one?

I have a bunch of bookmarks from China. I don’t think I’d rate this one the “best,” even though I like it. Some of the papercut ones I’ve been given are the most special.
