Nope. I’ve never been to New Zealand either. But somebody did get me a nice bookmark when they went! According to a note on the back it’s made from “Native Paua Shell and Rimu Timber.”

That’s a beauty! Love the shell bits!

Yes it’s quite attractive. Too thick to be practical, but then that’s the case for most of these! 😁

Wow, that’s gotta be one of the best looking ones so far.
Ha, I was going to ask about the thickness, then saw your comment to Fraggle. Glad that is answered.
Do you keep all the bookmarks in special storage, or are they all jumbled together in a box or something?

Right now they’re mostly jumbled together in cases. Eventually they’re going to be displayed in those chests I showed in the last basement post.

Thanks for the link. I clicked on the picture and I’m assuming they will be in that glass covered thingy in the center of the room?

There are two chests of drawers. The top drawer is the display as the top is glass so whatever’s in there you can see. I’ll post a picture whenever I get them finally set up. Which should be sometime in 2026 . . ,

Don’t worry. If we annex you folk, my first order of business will be to organize your bookmarks!
