I’ve been doing a lot of housecleaning and found this little gem tucked away in a box somewhere. Our Baby. That would be me!
How do you weigh babies anyway? I guess you just sit them on a scale and hope they stay put. I’m told my weight was pretty average.
As you can see it was around this time that entries started petering out. So much for From Birth to Seven. I don’t remember any religious education anyway, so that part may be right. The milestones seem kind of silly to me anyway. Lifted head? Is that an accomplishment for babies? And I wonder what I had to smile about a month in. Is that considered fast or slow? However it ranks, I’m pretty sure that was my last smile too.

Of course it’s important to be able to lift your head – if baby can’t do it after 4 months or so it could be a sign of a neuromuscular problem like cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy.

Huh. I never thought of that. I just assumed that every baby could lift its head. But that seems like it would be more a medical alert signifying a problem than a personal milestone.
I don’t know anything about babies though.

Most of babies milestones are there as indicators for health problems, even smiling.

I think my mom did something like this for me, as I was the first born so it was all new to her. By the time my siblings rolled around I don’t think she cared any more 😀

Yeah, I was the third so I think the novelty had worn off.

Most definitely. My sister was the third and by that time it was like an automated process for taking care of baby.
