I second this panda’s opinion. I’ve known some hoarders and what they usually hoard is a lot of junk. They’re not like book people at all.

Cute bookmark. Also I’m wondering what selfies are doing to people and glad I’m not one of them!

Pandas are cute . . . to look at. Not sure if they’re all that nice in the wild.
Selfies just amplify narcissism. Glad I’ve never taken one!

Yeah, why is it they always collect garbage? Is it because it’s accessible?

They’re value hunters. They think that junk (old newspapers, broken toys) has some value and people are wrong to throw it out. But they’re mistaken, especially in a disposable society like ours.

Does this mean you’ll replace all your dvds and blurays with books now? 😀

I’ll probably hold on to the DVDs, but just because I’ve already got them. I think I’ve only bought a couple in the last few years.

I’m slowly replacing my favorite dvds with blurays. Saving me space too, as I can get a whole franchise in a bundle instead of the individual discs….

Yeah, it’s great if you can get a big discount. Like at the book sales I go to where you can buy 5 DVDs for a dollar. At that price, why not? If you don’t like them you can hang them from windows to scare away birds.

Bought the Matrix 4pack for the same price this past black friday, as I originally paid for the one Matrix dvd…

Some DVDs have come way down in price. Especially second-hand, which is usually pretty safe because you’re buying a disc that’s probably only been watched a couple of times. But as the market has been dying they’ve been putting out a lot more of the limited edition special collector’s sets that are crazy expensive. I’m not into those, even though they’re very nicely produced.

Yeah, seeing those super duper extras on Eddie’s site is giving me the heebee jeebees. Means the discs are moving away from the main stream, which is a VERY bad thing imo.
