I’ve never been on a cruise. But I know people who have. I guess some cruise ships have small onboard libraries, even though print is about as dated now as the age of sail.
Anyway, if you took a book out of this ship’s library they gave you a bookmark as a reminder to bring it back. As if that $25 deposit wasn’t enough of an incentive. That seems pricey to me.
Book: Angel of Vengeance: The “Girl Assassin,” the Governor of St. Petersburg, and Russia’s Revolutionary World by Ana Siljak

Do you know how much cruises cost? And I bet the towels cost more than that and people steal those all the time too.
I would never go on a cruise myself, too much chance of food poisoning…

I don’t know how much cruises cost. Aren’t they fairly cheap? They need to pack lots of people on those ginormous ships.
Yeah, I hear everyone gets sick. Not my thing. I can get sick at home. Well, I would get sick if I left the house and met people.

They are after covid. Before that, it was the kind of thing normal people saved up for, like going to Disneyworld. Rich people could do it whenever they wanted.
You can STILL get sick without meeting people. Just eat that woodchuck you’ve taken pictures of. That’ll do the trick in a heartbeat!

Nobody eats woodchucks. They are disgusting. Just thinking about it makes me sick. So you proved your point!

that’ll be $599 for my medical advice…

Did someone give this to you because of your collection?

Yep! Once people know I collect bookmarks they just hold on to things like this and pass them on to me. It’s easy when they’re freebies. I had friends just back from traveling who gave me a new bookmark yesterday. That’s how the collection grows!

I’ve been on a cruse. How can you not have been on a cruise? Are you not allowed to leave your dungeon? Why

Just because you’ve gone cruising doesn’t mean you’ve been on a cruise. Or that you’ve met Tom Cruise.
I’m the only one with a key to my basement. so I can’t leave.

I bet you can’t leave. But there’s a good reason why. That key you have doesn’t fit the lock.
Cruises are grim. You can’t get off when you want. You’re trapped with everyone off. And if there’s a storm, it’s hell on earth. I’ve reviewed cruises. And never again will I set foot on one…

Not sure the ferry to Skye counts as a “cruise” but maybe in the Hebrides it’s as close as you’ll get. Hope you gave it a good review.

Sigh. Started in Spain, ended in Italy, some of us living the jet set lifestyle while you watch the appropriately named Triangle of Sadness under supervision in your local library.

Sadly, Eddie’s itinerary was supposed to be from Cornwall to London…
