Another trip to the garden, to look at another flowering plant. Don’t know what this one is called either. It’s quite a tall bush. But whatever name it goes by, I’m always happy whenever I see these guys around because then I know some real work is being done.


I’m struggling to understand the dimensions of this garden, could you draw us a plan?

It’s a magical place. No two-dimensional diagram can really capture it.

I just call them all grass, flowers, weeds or trees. Simplifies thing immensely…

“Weeds” can be tricky though. I had neighbours pull out all of my wild pea vines because they thought they were weeds.

Blue False Indigo or Baptisia australis if you want the latin, seems to be what you have here.

Yes, the seed pods look the same, and the fact that the young shoots look like asparagus. You know your plants!
