A real treat here. Darryl Berger is a Kingston artist who makes art out of old library cards (remember those?). They make perfect bookmarks!

That’s a good way to recycle them…

I think it was a great idea! I think you’d have a lot of young people now who wouldn’t have any idea what a library card is.

Do you remember the wooden chests with all the little sliding doors full of cards to look things up in? That feels like 200 years ago now.

I remember them! It really was 200 years ago. We are methuselahry.

Working clockwise from top left, I’ll go for
1 Margo Robbie
2 Greta Garbo
3 Oscar Wilde
4. Prince Andrew

Close. 4 is Rufus Sewell as Fortinbras.

Oscar and Greta must be getting pretty ripe.

We try not to mention that. It hurts their feelings.

Well as long as you’re keeping them comfortable in your basement . . . apartment, then that’s fine.

Eddie and Fraggle take care of them, keep’em with their goats.

Wait, Fraggle has goats now? I know Eddie has a whole petting zoo but I thought Frags was a city girl.

I thought you posted pics of a new Newcastle City Library a while back. Looked quite fancy.

I think you might be thinking of The Word in South Shields, as I haven’t been to Newcastle Library. However Newcastle does have the lit & phil, which looks amazing https://www.litandphil.org.uk/
but I haven’t been there yet.

Yes, it was that Word place I was thinking of. That’s a snazzy library! And the Lit & Phil looks amazing! See, you have lots of great libraries around.

All libraries are great. Didn’t you get banned from yours for leaving teethmarks in their property?

Well, some communities have to make do with a shipping container that sells gas-station snacks along with all the other goodies. But most libraries are pretty great.
