This weekend marked the 100th College Royal, billed as “the largest university open house event of its kind in North America.” I wanted to go just to see the dog show, in part because I knew a couple of this year’s contestants in the novice category. I don’t think they won, but they were both Very Good Dogs!

I’d highly advise those dogs to save their money and invest it in doggy biscuits. There’s always owners willing to indulge their pets after all…

These doggies got lots of biscuits just for walking around, sitting, and then getting up again. They know a good thing when they find it.

I like seeing the police dog show when it comes here, this walkng about/sitting/standing malarkey is a bit boring.

Well, walking about, sitting, staying, was the novice ring. In the other ring they were jumping around and even had one border collie who retrieved rings and put them in order onto a peg. The crowd cheered!
