This is a sturdy metal bookmark with what I think is a traditional Japanese theatre mask as the emblem. But I might be wrong with that identification. Whatever its origin, it certainly looks fierce.
Book: The End of White Christian America by Robert P. Jones

Ah that’s similar to mine, apart from the scary biscuit face.

It’s a particular style of bookmark that I don’t have that many of. But it is a dramatic face!

I only have the one, I find it slides about too much though.

Yeah, I don’t think I’d use one like this. But they can be nice to look at.

It’s reminds me more of a polynesian mask than a japanese kibuki (spelling?) mask.
Is the book about the causes the author thinks set up the ending, or is it just him ranting on with all the buzzwords?

Hmm. Good point. I see some resemblance to a Polynesian mask. Maybe I just had in mind the Beijing opera masks I had in a previous post.
To be honest, I haven’t read the book. I’ve had it sitting around in a TBR pile for a couple of years now but haven’t cracked it open until now. I believe it’s written from a leftish point of view.

Gotcha.
Yeah, with a title like that, it could only come from a leftist viewpoint 🙂

That face is mine reading that book. It’s like Charles Dickens reporting for MTV.
