This brass bookmark comes from Cornovia Designs in Helston, Cornwall. Which is a place I’ve never been so I’m not sure where I got it.

It’s plastic so I don’ think it will work well as a blackjack. Maybe I could hold it up so the laser temporarily blinds them and then trip them up.

I actually haven’t read Crossroads yet! But yeah, Franzen’s characters all seem to need therapy. Like most of the characters in any major cable series.
