The Writers’ Trust has a bunch of literary prizes that they give out in different categories. The names sometimes change for branding purposes, but here’s a selection I’ve picked up celebrating the winners from previous years. From left to right: 2015 Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People, 2015 Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction, 2007 Rogers Writers’ Trust Prize for Fiction, 2015 Rogers Writers’ Trust Prize for Fiction, and the 2017 for Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People
Book: The Annotated Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (ed. William S. Baring-Gould)

What is the Writer’s Trust? Some sort of foundation organization or something?

From their website:
We are a charitable organization that seeks to support and celebrate Canadian writers and writing through a portfolio of programs including 12 literary awards, financial grants, career development initiatives for emerging writers, and a writers’ retreat. Writers’ Trust programming is designed to champion excellence in Canadian writing, to improve the status of writers, and to create connections between writers and readers.

I wish someone would start a charitable foundation aimed at being charitable to me.

I accept donations! I don’t get any, but I still accept them.

Me too! Maybe we should start a charitable foundation that solicits other charitable foundations for money, so we can feel good about ourselves by donating to each other.

Should be able to work a tax break in there too.

I thought charitable foundations didn’t have to worry about taxes?

Which means we don’t have to worry about taxes! And we didn’t even have to move to the Caymans.

And then there’s me, who for Christmas bought myself a super-sexy Genshin Yoimiya bookmark. I know it’s anime; I know Yoimiya is the chick’s name; but the rest of the context is completely lost on me, starting with the mystery of Genshin.

Lost on me too! Booky is the resident anime/manga expert. Though he got me to sign Demon Hunter out of the library.
Before long you’ll have hundreds of bookmarks. Then you can build a library for them. Then start posting pics . . .
