A leaf bookmark. But I don’t know what kind of leaf. I believe the morphology is known as “falcate.” I asked the person who gave it to me what it was and she said she didn’t know, she picked it up at an estate sale. So there you have it: a botanical-bookmark mystery!

They’re trying to take it away, which would be very bad news for me. But I can still get in through the back door. Though I don’t know how long it will still be hidden away.
Why they would want to get rid of a basic function is beyond me. Why not just leave it in for people who use it?

I suspect it is springing from the same mind set that just randomly changes how things are, even though they work well as-is.
I think the owner of Automattic, Matt Wsomethingsomething has gone off his gourd. If the classic editor option disappears, I know a lot of bloggers will disappear…

It would be really hard on me, as I never got used to the block editor. Oh well, we’ll see what happens.

And just so you know, “I” can see “classic editor” option under the dropdown menu now. So it might have been a bug when they did all the stupid updating a day or so ago.

They took it away, but it was still there if you navigated around. But now it seems to be back where it was.

That does not bode well. Makes me wonder if ’25 is when they will finally make an end of the classic editor. Hopefully it will stick around though.
