I mentioned in my previous post that you’d be seeing more butterflies around these parts. And here you go. A gold-plated butterfly even!

I like that better than a straight paper bookmark. I feel like you would have to read big books though to be able to make full use of it…

It’s got a good weight to it. Helpful if you’re reading outside on a windy day!

I suppose you could throw it like a shuriken . . .

Or use it like a dagger, with the book as the hilt. It would be the world’s most awkward dagger, but it would be better than your bare hands (unless you’re Bruce Lee)

John Wick beat someone up with a book once. Didn’t even have a bookmark in it.

Well, he IS John Wick after all π
Maybe if you take a couple more drives to the big city, you can be Alex Wick, John’s lesser known brother π

Now that IS spiffy! It’s a Papilio machaon britannicus, i.e a British Swallowtail only found on the Norfolk Broads. Lovely piece of work.

I didn’t know that! I didn’t even know what the Norfolk Broads were!

Yep. I guess it’s wetlands with lots of windmills.

Is wetlands the same as a load of rivers and lakes?

Yeah, sort of. Wikipedia: “A simplified definition of wetland is ‘an area of land that is usually saturated with water.'” Though I think it usually refers to marsh or swampland and I’m not sure if the Broads is that.

Must be areas of it that are. I drove a boat on the broads for a day once π

Where do you get your bookmarks from? Barbara Cartland? Liberace?
